NPORS Lift Truck Supervisor Awareness Course Duration
Novice Operator: 1 days training, maximum 6 candidates.
Refresher: 1 day, maximum 6 candidates.
Location: Our Instructors can deliver training across London and the South-East.
Certification
NPORS Traditional card – lasts for 3
OR
NPORS card with CSCS logo – accepted by all major building contractor’s. The initial card is the RED trained operator card which lasts for 2 years and can be upgraded to BLUE competent operator card further to completion of relevant NVQ.
CSCS Health & Safety Test
If you require the NPORS Lift Truck Supervisor Red operator card with the CSCS logo on then you must have completed the operatives health and safety test within the last two years.
In house certificates: suitable as proof of operator competence accepted for insurance and HSE compliance.

NPORS Lift Truck (FLT) Supervisor Awareness Course Objectives
This course offers training/assessment for candidates with existing plant knowledge to allow them to understand the role and responsibility of the Lift Supervisor. Following successful completion of the NPORS Lift Supervisor training candidates will have an understanding of their statutory responsibilities with regard to lift truck operators and lift trucks within their working environment.
NPORS is an approved CSCS Partner Card Scheme, providing evidence that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for safe movement of construction machinery. Furthermore, training criteria is based on the approved standards of the Construction Leadership Council.
Entry Requirements
This 1 day course provides candidates with the knowledge and practical skills to :

To have a basic understanding of a supervisor responsibilities and relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including relevant Risk Assessments, Method Statement and Traffic Management systems.

To be able to supervise the work safely and identify various hazards including dangers within the environment.

To be able to check certification for equipment and accessories including PPE.

Correctly risk assess the task and implement a safe system of work, prepare a step by step method statement including selection of equipment to be used.

Allocate team roles and responsibilities through a toolbox talk / safety briefing.

Oversee task ensuring the team safely follows the step by step system of work.

Liaise with management and operators.

Deliver a debrief meeting with the team and discuss any lessons learned.
Candidates that require the 'HS&E TESTED Logo' displayed on their card they must have passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last 2 years.
